The Minnesota moratorium on the construction of new nuclear plants has passed the Minnesota senate. Now the house and the governor need to agree. This action is generally being pushed by the republicans expressly to level (deregulate) the playing field for new energy production. The woman who is sponsoring the bill has one of the two Minnesota power plants in her district. Those who know the most about nuclear power, fear it the least.
